I've seen any of these movies too, and i have mixed feelings about them. On one hand, youtube is a technique with a wide audience, such as minors, so i fear on the availability of such content. But on the more hand, isn't it only mirroring what's already out there in mainstream media?

That's an excellent point. It's not like sexual content is distinctive to youtube. Movies with explicit scenes are readily available on more platforms as well. But i believe youtube should get any sort of age restriction or content warning for these movies to protect younger viewers.

I concur with you. Youtube does have any policies in spot regarding adult content, nevertheless they can be quite ambiguous and inconsistently enforced. Maybe clearer guidelines and stricter enforcement would help address this issue?

Certainly. Clarity and consistency are crucial when it comes to content policies. However where do we draw the line in amongst artistic expression and inappropriate content? Should youtube be the arbiter of morality?

It's a tricky question. While youtube is a private platform and has the right to established its very own policies, it on top has a accountability to consider the hit of its content on society, especially on younger audiences. Perhaps there should be a balance in between freedom of expression and protecting vulnerable viewers?

I agree. Perhaps youtube could implement a technique similarto movie ratings, where viewers are informed on the content of a movie before viewing it. That style, adults can do informed choices, and parents can better monitor what their kids are watching.

That sounds like a reasonable solution. It would give viewers more agency while still supplying some level of safety for minors. But it would require a lot of effort from youtube to categorize and label all the content on their platform.

Hopefully, youtube will take those concerns into consideration and purpose towards a solution that benefits both creators and viewers alike.
