Can a Naughty Catalytic Converter cause Vibration?

Hey everyone, i've been experiencing any weird vibrations in my car lately, especially when i accelerate. I've listened to that a bad catalytic converter may well be the culprit. Is there any truth to that?

Interesting question. I haven't read of a bad catalytic converter leading to vibrations before. Generally, it's associated with issues like decreased engine performance or strange smells from the exhaust. But i suppose anything's achievable with cars!

I've had a related practice. My auto commenced pulsate noticeably, specifically when i was idling at a stoplight. I at first thought it was an engine problem, but a mechanic friend suggested probably the catalytic converter. It's have received me curious now.

I'm no expert, but i've read that a naughty catalytic converter can result in engine misfires, which may begetting vibrations. It could be due to increased exhaust backpressure messing with the engine's combustion procedure. But again, it's just a theory.

That's interesting. So, if the catalytic converter is indeed the culprit, would replacing it re solve the pulse issue? Or are there more potential causes i must consider?

I had a related concern a while back, and replacing the catalytic converter did re fix the problems for me. The vibrations disappeared approximately quickly soon right after the replacement. Nevertheless, it's crucial to get a proper detection from a mechanic to rule out any other potential issues.
