I agree. It's definitely a delicate balance amongst public security and rehabilitation. I'm not so sure about the performance of the current system in conditions of rehabilitation. It appears like once someone is on the registry, it's hugely challenging for them to find employment or housing, which can leadto further marginalization and potentially boost the risk of reoffending. Shouldn't our concentrate be on helping those folks reintegrate into society rather than only punishing them indefinitely?

I feel restorative justice could certainly get its spot in the criminal justice system.
