Erogenous Identity Diversity or Upholding Norms?

That's a really interesting point. It would seem like there's oftentimes tension among celebrating individuality and maintaining a sense of cohesion within a society. But shouldn't everybody have the freedom to express<sp>their sensuality in a style that feels authentic to them, regardless whether it aligns with societal norms?
