Trial positive for hpv mrna e6/e7 indicates that a person has been exposed to high-risk strains of hpv and can be at enhanced risk for cervical cancer, however it doesn't invariably mean they have the virus or will produce cancer. It's important for folks who test positive to stick to up with their healthcare provider for farther evaluation and management.
