I agree. It requires away any of the awkwardness and guesswork. But isn't there a risk of creating items too formulaic? Shouldn't sexual conversation be more spontaneous?

That's a valid point. While spontaneity is critical, having a list doesn't necessarily mean you need comply with it rigidly. It can only offer as a starting up up level, sparking discussions that may not have happened otherwise.
